Yakovlev University Graduate Dauren Kurugliev Became Champion of the II European Games The II European Games took place in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) From June 21 to June 30.
The European Games are international sports competitions among athletes of the European continent, which are held every four years by the European Olympic Committees.
200 sets of awards were presented at the Games, more than 4,000 athletes from fifty European countries took part in the competition. 21 kinds of sport were represented there.
Dauren Kurugliev, master of sports of international class, graduate of the Faculty of Physical Education of the Chuvash State Pedagogical University, became champion in freestyle wrestling in the weight category up to 86 kg.
