Sign Language


Sign Language On September 23 the Faculty of Preschool and Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology of ChSPU hosted the All-Russian seminar with international participation entitled "The role of the Russian sign language in the education and support of persons with hearing impairment", dedicated to the celebration of the international day of sign languages.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Lugansk National University named after T. Shevchenko, Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University, Institute of Social Technologies and Rehabilitation of the Novosibirsk State Technical University, Obraz Sign language school (St. Petersburg), Small Business College No. 4 (Moscow), Kindergarten No. 288 (Moscow), Kindergarten No. 118 (Cheboksary), as well as students and teachers of the Faculty of Preschool and Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology of ChSPU.
During the seminar, its participants discussed issues in the following main areas:
• Russian sign language in the education of preschool and school-age children with hearing impairments.
• Actual issues of the use of Russian sign language in vocational education.
• Translation of church vocabulary into Russian sign language.
• The history of the emergence and development of Russian sign language and fingerprinting.
• Development of children's creative abilities by means of sign songs.
• Sign language in modern society.
The organizer of the seminar is associate professor of the department of correctional pedagogy of ChSPU named after I. Yakovlev Tatyana Kozhanova.
