ChSPU Students Won International Sambo Tournament “Cup of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan”

The III International Category “A” Tournament “Cup of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan” was held at the Kazan Wrestling Arena “Ak Bars”.
The representatives of the national teams from 20 countries fought for the title of strongest sambo wrestlers: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, France, Croatia.
The trainees of the Chuvash Sambo School (students of the Faculty of Physical Culture of I. Yakovlev University) successfully performed on the Russian national team:
Vera Lotkova (w/c up to 52 kg) – 1st place,
Natalia Stepanova (w/c up to 52 kg) – 3rd place,
Regina Mindubaeva (w/c up to 72 kg) – 3rd place.
