Enhanced International Cooperation: Visit of Yakovlev University Delegation to Guizhou Province

The delegation of the Chuvash State Pedagogical University, consisting of rector Vladimir Ivanov, Alexander Kirillov, head of the department of scientific and innovative work, Igor Kozhanov, dean of the faculty of preschool and correctional pedagogy and psychology, visited the capital of Guizhou province - the city of Guiyang (China) in the framework of cooperation with Guizhou Pedagogical University.
During the visit, an official meeting was held with the rector of Guizhou Pedagogical University, Mr. Xiao Yuanping and the university administration, during which the issues of teaching bachelors, masters and graduate students, conducting joint events in the framework of studying the languages of both countries, scientific research in the field of pedagogy and psychology, as well as creating conditions for cultural exchange were discussed.
A significant event of the visit was the opening of the Center for the Russian Language and Culture at Guizhou Pedagogical University, which is the first Center for the Study of the Russian Language in Guizhou Province.
The delegation of ChSPU attended Guiyang City Secondary School No. 10. The issues of mutual cooperation, training options for school graduates at the ChSPU were discussed during the meeting with the rector of the school, Ms. Xiang Yiping. The organizations signed an agreement on international cooperation. The purpose of the agreement is the interaction of the parties to establish mutually beneficial international cooperation in the field of academic, cultural and educational ties.
In addition, the rector of the university, Vladimir Ivanov, met with the students of ChSPU, who are currently undergoing training at the Guizhou Normal University.
Cooperation between ChSPU with Guizhou Normal University began in 2014. In 2015 the Center for Chinese Language and Culture was opened at ChSPU. Since the beginning of cooperation under the agreements, more than 40 students have completed internship programs in Guiyang and Cheboksary.
Guizhou Normal University is the only higher educational institution where close cooperation with Russian universities is carried out and training is being conducted in the Russian Language.
