Second Graders at the Museum of Maternal Glory

Second Graders at the Museum of Maternal GloryAs part of the celebration of Mother's Day, students of the 2nd grade of Secondary School No. 29 in Cheboksary visited the Museum of Maternal Glory of the Chuvash State Pedagogical University named after I. Yakovlev.
The Museum of Maternal Glory was opened in 1983 by students and the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Primary Education, Honored Worker of Culture of the Chuvash Republic Dmitry Egorov. This is the first museum in Russia dedicated to the mother. The main goal of the museum is to educate students on the example of the life and work of glorious women of our motherland and heroine mothers whose names make up the pride and greatness of the nation. The head of the museum, Natalya Malkova, told the students about this, reminding the children that the main purpose of the Mother's Day holiday is to maintain the tradition of caring for the most important person in our life.
During the visit to the museum, second-graders also got acquainted with art, myths and legends of the ancient world, with reproductions of paintings by famous artists of the Middle Ages, Renaissance, modern times, revealing the eternal theme of femininity and motherhood. Part of the exposition is dedicated to the glorious women of Russia - heroines of the Patriotic War of 1812, the brave wives of the Decembrists, tsarinas and empresses, fearless revolutionaries.
At the end of the excursion, the schoolchildren took part in a master class on making holiday cards for their mothers.
