 ‘The Russian Language in the Framework of Bi- and Polylingualism’On December 10, 2019, the Faculty of Chuvash and Russian Philology hosted the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “The Russian Language in the Framework of Bi-and Polylingualism”, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Honored Teacher of the Chuvash Socialist Republic, Member of the National Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Chuvash Republic, Full Member of the Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences, Full Member of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts, Honorary Professor of I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University Gennady Aleksandrovich Anisimov.
At the beginning of the conference, the Vice-President for Academic Affairs of CHSPU Ilyina Svetlana Viktorovna, Chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Chuvash Republic on Social Policy and National Affairs Rafinov Vyacheslav Viktorovich, Chief Expert of the Department of Professional Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Chuvash Republic Julia Surkova, and other educational officials, as well as colleagues and students of G.A. Anisimov congratulated him on his jubilee.
The conference was attended by representatives of different regions of Russia (Chuvashia, Bashkortostan, Udmurtia, Tatarstan, Mari El, Stavropol Region, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Vladimir, Yaroslavl, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Tula), as well as scientists and teachers from foreign countries (Belarus, Slovakia and Taiwan).
The conference included round-table discussions on the issues of teaching the Russian language at the national pedagogical university, teaching Russian as a second language among bilingual children of pre-school age, and the formation of a professional portrait of a modern teacher of Russian literature.
The participants of the conference discussed such issues as prospects of linguistic development of a person in the process of teaching the Russian language both as a mother tongue and a second language, use of innovative methods of language teaching, and interaction of language, literature and culture.
