 Five students of I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University have undertaken an internship in the People's Republic of China in the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the ChSPU and the Guizhou Normal University. They study Chinese at the Guizhou Normal University (Guiyang). Denis Mikhailov, Faculty of History, Management and Law:“This is my second trip to China this year. At first I was in Beijing at the International Camp, its work program was focused on mastering the Chinese language. In addition to classes, we had an extensive excursion program, during which we were able to visit the landmarks of the Heavenly Empire, such as the Great Wall of China, the Summer Palace, the Tiananmen Square and others. A little over a month ago, I arrived for an internship at the Guizhou Normal University. The Opening of the IX All-Russian Science Festival NAUKA 0+ at Yakovlev University
 On October 10 the opening of the All-Russian Science Festival NAUKA 0+ took place at the Chuvash State Pedagogical University named after I.Y. Yakovlev (ChSPU). This year the festival is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the Periodic Law of Chemical Elements by D.I. Mendeleev. Svetlana Ilyina, Vice-rector for Educational Work at the Pedagogical University, addressed the participants of the festival and emphasized that science and education in the modern world are inseparably connected, so it is impossible to live in the 21st century and be distant from scientific knowledge and technology. Sergey Kudryashov, Minister of Education and Youth Policy of the Chuvash Republic, called every student to discover something new every day. In his speech, he noted that the ChSPU is a leading university for the training of teachers in the republic, and schools of the Chuvash Republic and beyond accord a warm welcome to modern, proactive, young graduates of the ChSPU. |
Winners of the Regional Contest “Teacher of the Future” are Determined
 On October 9th the finals of the regional competition of professional skill of future teachers "Teacher of the Future" were held at I. Yakovlev University.Svetlana Ilyina, the Vice-rector for Educational work, and Zinaida Stepanova, the Chairman of the Chuvash Republican Organization of the Trade Union of Public Education and Science of the Russian Federation opened the meeting and greeted the contestants. The initial round of the contest was attended by 25 future teachers representing the Chuvash State Pedagogical University, Mari State University, Minin Nizhny Novgorod Pedagogical University. Yakovlev University Students Take Part in Archaeological Excavations on the the Red Square in Cheboksary
 The builders discovered an ancient burial place and the foundations of buildings during a large-scale reconstruction of the Red Square of the city of Cheboksary in early autumn. The renovation works were suspended and the archaeologists began their excavations. The students of the faculty of history, management and law of Yakovlev Pedagogical University take part in the excavations under the supervision of experienced archaeologists. It is supposed that the builders found the churchyard of the Annunciation Church and its monastery. The church was situated on this site until 1930. The Red Square has been the center of the city's economic and craft life for many centuries. It was also the place for shopping stalls and houses of wealthy merchants, as well as the cemetery where famous citizens were buried. |
CHSPU Graduate Oksana Ilyina Becomes Winner of II All-Russian Competition “Defectologist Teacher of Russia-2019”
 Oksana Ilyina, Graduate of the Faculty of Preschool and Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology of I. Yakovlev CHSPU, defectologist of the Novocheboksarsk kindergarten of No. 48 “Zhuravlik”, became the winner of the 2nd All-Russian Pedagogical Mastery Competition “Defectologist Teacher of Russia-2019”.Out of the 59 participants who won the regional “Defectologist Teacher of Russia-2019” competition, 20 specialists were invited to take part in the full-time stage of the competition. Within the framework of the competition, the participants held workshops to demonstrate their pedagogical skills. During her workshop on the topic “Kindergarten as a National Playground”, Oksana Ilyina demonstrated to the fellow-participants and the jury self-designed corrective and developing techniques that can be used to work with visually impaired children, children with amblyopia and strabismus. |
ChSPU Students Won International Sambo Tournament “Cup of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan”
 The III International Category “A” Tournament “Cup of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan” was held at the Kazan Wrestling Arena “Ak Bars”.The representatives of the national teams from 20 countries fought for the title of strongest sambo wrestlers: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, France, Croatia. The trainees of the Chuvash Sambo School (students of the Faculty of Physical Culture of I. Yakovlev University) successfully performed on the Russian national team: Vera Lotkova (w/c up to 52 kg) – 1st place, Natalia Stepanova (w/c up to 52 kg) – 3rd place, Regina Mindubaeva (w/c up to 72 kg) – 3rd place. |
Professor L.V. Kuznetsova was awarded Gennady Nikandrovich Volkov Badge “For Achievement in Pedagogics”
 The Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Chuvash Republic praised the merits of Lyudmila Vasilyevna Kuznetsova, Doctor of Pedagogics, Professor, Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation, Founder of Scientific Pedagogical School “Ethnoculture in Modern Education System”. She was awarded the Gennady Nikandrovich Volkov badge “For Achievement in Pedagogics”. The corresponding order was signed by Minister Sergey Kudryashov on October 2, 2019 (order No. 01-nz). Lyudmila Vasilyevna is the first scientist who has been awarded this honor. For many years Lyudmila Vasilyevna Kuznetsova has been the head of the Research Institute of Ethnopedagogics n. a. ChSPU Students Took Part in the VI Regional Convention of Search Teams “Nobody is Forgotten”
 From the 3rd to the 5th of October in Kirov the 6th regional convention of search units of the Volga Federal District “Nobody is Forgotten” took place.The regional convention brought together 14 teams from different regions of the Volga Federal District. The delegation of the Chuvash Republic in the rally included Yakovlev University students Irina Arkhipova, Dilyara Vakhitova, Sergey Sergeev. The teams took part in competitive trials related to search activities. They demonstrated their knowledge of topography and orienteering, archival search and first aid skills. The teams also tested their strength in the military-historical and search quiz. After passing the competitive tests, an exposition was organized at which the guests of the convention presented the exhibits of the Great Patriotic War, found during the 2019 field search season. According to the results of the festival, the team of the Chuvash Republic took 7th place. Chuvashia’s search teams took 2nd place in the nomination “Exposition based on the results of the field search season”. |
ChSPU Students and Teachers Took Part in the All-Russian Walking Day
 On October 5 Chuvashia joined the big sports festival - the All-Russian Walking Day, organized by the Russian Olympic Committee.The All-Russian day of walking is held in our country for the sixth time. The first start took place on October 9, 2014 and was timed to coincide with the opening of the International Sports Forum "Russia is a Sports Power", which was held in Cheboksary. On Saturday almost 1,200 fans of an active lifestyle gathered on the renovated Moscow Embankment in Cheboksary, including 70 students and teachers of Yakovlev ChSPU. Interpreters’ Day 2019 at the Faculty of Foreign languages
 The competition “I am an interpreter” dedicated to the International Interpreters’ Day took place at the Faculty of Foreign languages on the 30th of September. Every year the 4th year students of the translation department prepare an educational and entertaining event for students of the Faculty of Foreign languages. They prepared various linguistic contests and tasks for the teams and spectators: dubbing of movie fragments in English, interpretation from English into Russian, “guess the country by its flag”, “guess the song translated using Google Translate”, etc. The future interpreters demonstrated their best skills and qualities during the event. The jury was represented by the professors of the Department of English philology translation studies, namely: N.Y. Shugaeva, E.N. Gromova, N.S. Kurnikova, E.N. Zasetskova, E.N. Mozzhegorova. XXXVIII Open Tourist Rally of the CHSPU Tourist Club «Nadezhda»
 Last weekend, on the right bank of the Varlamovka River, the XXXVIIIth open tourist rally was organized by the I. Yakovlev CHSPU “Nadezhda” tourist. 18 teams that represent I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University, I. Ulyanov Chuvash State University, and Secondary School No. 55, Cheboksary, took part in the event and competed for the title of the winner. For three days the participants of the tourist rally competed and improved their hiking technique (rope town), water tourism technique, wayfinding at night and cycling tourism technique. There was also a cooking competition, a team presentation contest, competition of captains, a round in theory of tourism, and an ecological competition. |
Another Group of Chinese Students Arrived at I. Yakovlev CHSPU
 The Russian-Chinese relations between the I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University and Guizhou Normal University (People's Republic of China) are actively developed. In accordance with the Agreement on the exchange of students and teachers from CHSPU and GNU, five Chinese students arrived at CHSPU, with three more to join them in October. During one academic year, they will study Russian, the Russian literature and social studies, as well as get acquainted with the rich centuries-old culture of the Chuvash people. Upon arrival, the exchange students were met by Elena Sukhova, Head of the Center for Chinese Language and Culture of CHSPU, and students of our university who learn Chinese. |
New Study Room for the Center of Chinese Language and Culture
 October 1, the Faculty of Foreign Languages of I. Yakovlev University held the grand opening of the new classroom of the Center of Chinese Language and Culture. The event is timed to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.Yakovlev University rector Professor Vladimir Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Education and Youth Policy of the Chuvash Republic Alexey Guryev, Head of the Cheboksary branch of the representative office of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Nizhny Novgorod Alexander Pogodeykin congratulated everybody on this significant event. An Annual Athletics Cross of Teachers and Employees of ChSPU
 On September 28, a traditional cross of teachers and employees of I. Yakovlev University for the prizes of the administration, the trade union committee of the university and the sports club was held at the stadium of the educational building number 6. The sports festival was opened by the ChSPU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Svetlana Ilyina and the director of the sports club Nikolai Anisimov. Competitions began with a VIP race, in which the university senior officials, deans of faculties and university veterans took part. Then races by age categories and a children's race took place. Men competed at a distance of 1000 meters, women – 500 meters, children – 250 meters. According to the results of the competition in the team event, the first place was taken by the team of the Faculty of Psychology and Education, the second place went to the team of the Faculty of Physical Education, the team of the Faculty of Technology and Economics ranked third. |
PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS CONTRIBUTE TO THE PROVISION OF URBAN AMENITIES
 On September 26, the students of the Faculty of Technology and Economics of the Chuvash Pedagogical University in the framework of the autumn sanitary-ecological campaign cleaned of the territory of Chapaev Square of Cheboksary. They scavenged dry branches, fallen leaves, garbage. On September 27, the students of the Faculty of Arts and Music Education joined this environmental campaign and cleaned the territory of Republic Square. PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY HELD A DISCUSSION ON ETHNOPEDAGOGICS ISSUES AND PROSPECTS
 On September 27, I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University hosted the international scientific-practical conference “Ethnopedagogical Guidelines in Multicultural Educational Environment as the Basis for the Formation of Ethnic Tolerance.” The conference was organized by the Research Institute of Ethnopedagogics named after Academician of the RAS G. N. Volkov with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the conference is to analyze and discuss the problems and prospects of ethnopedagogcs as a branch of science, the methods of studying ethnopedagogics in terms of theory and practice of modern education; the problems of intercultural relations and the preservation of ethnocultural values related to the issues of interpenetration and mutual influence of languages and cultures, preservation of national identity and the formation of ethnic tolerance in a multicultural environment. |

 On September 23 the Faculty of Preschool and Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology of ChSPU hosted the All-Russian seminar with international participation entitled "The role of the Russian sign language in the education and support of persons with hearing impairment", dedicated to the celebration of the international day of sign languages.The seminar was attended by representatives of the Lugansk National University named after T. Shevchenko, Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University, Institute of Social Technologies and Rehabilitation of the Novosibirsk State Technical University, Obraz Sign language school (St. Petersburg), Small Business College No. 4 (Moscow), Kindergarten No. 288 (Moscow), Kindergarten No. 118 (Cheboksary), as well as students and teachers of the Faculty of Preschool and Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology of ChSPU. ChSPU Students in "The leader of the 21st century", All-Russian School of Student Self-government
 In the Rostov Region, 84th regular session of the All-Russian School of Student Self-Government called “The Leader of the 21st Century” is underway, with 200 people from 43 regions of the country participating in it. Among them are students of Chuvash State Pedagogical University named after I. Yakovlev, activists of the Student Congress of Yakovlev university Angelina Gerikh, Sergey Grigoryev, Tatyana Ilyina and Natalya Rakhmanova. PATRIOT IS BRONZE MEDALIST OF THE FINALS OF CLUB TOURNAMENT “VOSTOK VS ZAPAD”
 From September 19 to September 22 in Moscow there was held the final of the All-Russian Club Tournament of the ACCC of Russia “Vostok vs Zapad” among the teams of student sports clubs. 8 of the strongest student sports clubs of Russia attended the competition. 4 teams won the semifinal tournament “Zapad”, 4 teams won the semifinal tournament “Vostok”. Yakovlev University Student Sports Club “Patriot” performed for “Zapad” confederation. The athletes of the Pedagogical University were awarded this right at the beginning of summer, having won the club tournament “Zapad”. CHSPU STUDENTS WON “CROSS OF NATIONS - 2019”
 On September 21, the All-Russian Running Day “Cross of Nation - 2019” was held on the embankment of Cheboksary Bay. It is the sixteenth time when Chuvashia joined the sports festival. Athletes, schoolchildren, students, politicians, employees, sports veterans (all those who choose outside activities) took part in the races. Mikhail Ignatyev, Head of the Republic, started the main race. “Cross of Nation” program was opened in Cheboksary with a 3000-meter mass run. The members of the regional government, deputies, well-known political figures, heads of institutions and organizations, and athletes headed the race. Following them, the youngest participants of “Cross of Nation” (pupils of preschool educational institutions) ran a kilometer distance. Professional athletes ran the distances of 4, 6, 8 and 12 km.
