53 Graduates of the Faculty of Preschool and Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology Received Higher Education Diplomas
 July 12, 53 graduates of the Faculty of Preschool and Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology were awarded diplomas of higher education in the assembly hall of the main academic building of Chuvash State Pedagogical University.17 graduates got degrees in Speech Therapy, 14 – in Pre-school defectology, 22 – in Pre-school education. 17 of them graduated with honors. The faculty graduates were addressed by Professor Vladimir Ivanov, Rector of ChSPU, Professor Igor Kozhanov, Dean of the Faculty of Preschool and Corrective Pedagogy and Psychology, Andrei Matrenin, speech therapist at the Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 1, the faculty members and the graduates’ parents. As part of the graduation ceremony, the graduates presented their creative performances. Following the long tradition of the faculty, the last bell sounded for its graduates on this day. |
Diplomas were Awarded to Graduates of the Chuvash and Russian Philology Faculty
 July 10, a ceremonial presentation of bachelor's degrees to graduates of the faculty of Chuvash and Russian Philology took place at Yakovlev University. 53 students graduated from the faculty in the academic year of 2018-2019: 20 of them got degrees in Native (Chuvash) Language and Literature, 11 - in World Artistic Culture and Russian language, 22 - in Russian Language and Literature. 11 students graduated with honors. Olga Lukicheva, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Issues, Tatyana Denisova, Dean of the Faculty of Chuvash and Russian Philology, professors and parents congratulated the graduates on completing their studies at the university. |
Graduation of students of the Faculty of Natural Science Education
 On July 6, the graduates of the full-time Department of the Faculty of Natural-Science Education were awarded diplomas of higher education.Opening the ceremony, Dean of the Faculty Natural-Science Education Vladislav Alekseev stressed the importance and relevance of teachers in the labor market. The Rector of Yakovlev University, Doctor of Pedagogics, Professor Vladimir Ivanov made a welcoming speech: “At the University you have received profound knowledge, developed creative abilities, learned to defend your views and beliefs. Veronika Chumikova: the Winner of the International Wrestling Tournament
 July 4-7, the traditional International Wrestling Grand Prix Tournament of Spain took place in Madrid.More than 300 athletes from 24 countries took part in the competition. Veronika Chumikova, a 5th-year student of the Faculty of Physical Education of I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University, won the first prize in the weight class of up to 57 kg. In the final match Veronika won over an Indian athlete Dhand Pookh. |
Yakovlev University Rector Vladimir Ivanov Met with STUDLINE Media Center Members
 July 3, Yakovlev University Team Work Centre hosted a meeting of the rector of the pedagogical university, Professor Vladimir Ivanov, with the participants of the STULINE media center. The head of the media center Inga Egorova summed up the performance of the centre in 2019, during which the team members showed the life of the university, its students, graduates, teachers, interesting events and events in their videos and photo essays. In addition, the young journalists created social video clips, video greetings for various holidays, participated in media contests and festivals. A great experience for young journalists was their participation in the project of the National Television of Chuvashia called “Student's Day”. From October 2018 to June 2019, the "Student Day" program from the CHSPU team went on the air 32 times. CHSPU Student Lubov Mikhailova Takes Part in the All-Russian Youth Forum «Taurida 5.0»
 Lubov Mikhailova, a student of the Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical university, took part in the "Folk Session" of the All-Russian Youth Forum "Taurida 5.0". The main goal of the session is to make people rediscover the unique culture of different ethnic groups living in Russia. The session will last until July 5. Among its participants there are 400 musicians, vocal artists and choreographers who perform folk pieces. Lubov Mikhailova, a student of the Faculty of Technology and Economics, is one of them. The participants of the "Folk Session" are preparing an art manifesto with a suggestion to announce next year as the «Year of Folk Arts and Non-Material Cultural Heritage" in Russia. In their opinion, it will help revive the authentic folk culture and imbue it with a new life. |
Implementation of conceptual art project “Art in the City” by Ksenia Kokel, student of CHSPU
 The project “Art in the City” won in the All-Russian competition of youth projects. Ksenia Kokel, the student of the Faculty of Art and Music Education, was granted 100,000 rubles to implement the project.According to the author’s idea, the unsightly buildings of the city were to turn into attractive objects d’art. Ksenia had examined the city to identify those unsightly places. Finally, she had chosen the building of the tracking substation No.8 of the Cheboksary Trolleybus Control. The building is located next to the shopping center “Kaskad”. Ksenia decorated the building wall with the famous illustration of the Chuvash girl by Peter Sizov (this illustration was made for the poem “Narspi” in 1968). Yakovlev University Graduate Dauren Kurugliev Became Champion of the II European Games
 The II European Games took place in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) From June 21 to June 30. The European Games are international sports competitions among athletes of the European continent, which are held every four years by the European Olympic Committees. 200 sets of awards were presented at the Games, more than 4,000 athletes from fifty European countries took part in the competition. 21 kinds of sport were represented there. Dauren Kurugliev, master of sports of international class, graduate of the Faculty of Physical Education of the Chuvash State Pedagogical University, became champion in freestyle wrestling in the weight category up to 86 kg. |

 June 26-29 the Athletics Championship of the Russian Student Sports Union took place in Yaroslavl. Exchange Students from Guizhou Normal University (China) Have Been Awarded Certificates of Accomplishment at CHSPU
 On June 28, the exchange students from Guizhou Normal University (China) were awarded official certificates of accomplishment that certify that the students have completed an academic course at I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University. Nine students from the People's Republic of China have been studying at the Faculty of Chuvash and Russian Philology from October 2018 to June 2019 and completed the program “Russian as a Foreign Language”. This is the second group of students from the Middle Kingdom, who came to the pedagogical university. During the academic year, the girls studied the Russian language, Russian literature and social studies, and also got acquainted with the rich culture of the Chuvash people. Svetlana Ilyina, Academic Vice-President, presented the students with the certificates of completion of the Russian speech practice course. The Best Graduate of 2019 Graduation Ceremony at Yakovlev University
 June 27, I. Yakovlev University held a graduation ceremony for 50 best graduates of the Pedagogical University in 2019. This year 578 people have completed their full-time studies at the university. The best of these students have been honored at this ceremony. They have achieved significant success in educational, scientific, social, creative and sports activities at the university, in the Republic and in Russia. Vladimir Ivanov, President of I. Results of the III International Chainsaw Woodcarving Festival Visiting a Fairy Tale
 June 24, Mechta Health Care Centre of I. Yakovlev University hosted the closing ceremony of the III International Chainsaw Woodcarving Festival Visiting a Fairy Tale. The event was organized by the Faculty of Technology and Economics of the Chuvash State Pedagogical University. The festival was attended by famous masters from Germany and Russian Regions such as the Republic of Mari El, the Udmurt Republic, the Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Chuvashia, the Moscow Region and Tolyatti. The festival participants were creating decorative benches in the form of different heroes from folk tales and legends. The competition lasted three days. "SAME BUT DIFFERENT"
 On June 20, the photo exhibition “MY RAZ/VNYE” (Same but Different) was launched in the main building of I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University. This wonderful and inspiring photo project initiated by the magazine "DETKIDS" marks the opening of the Chuvash Republican Public Organization “Sila Dobra” (The Power of Good) which supports children with the Down syndrome. The authors of the project are Anna Novoselova and Olga Chummina, the photographer is Regina Avramova. Famous people of the Chuvash Republic took part in the photo shoot. Denis Bykov, a student of the Faculty of Natural Science of the CHSPU, also participated in the project and won the title “Mr. Creativity” in the 2017 All-Russian contest “Miss and Mr. Student”. |
An Equal Dialogue with Grigory Drozd
 On June 21 the Chuvash State Pedagogical University organised an Equal Dialogue with Grigory Drozd, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Honored Master of Sports in Thai boxing, world boxing champion among professionals. The meeting was devoted to his success story. Grigory Drozd told students about how to start an athlete career and go towards the goals in spite of failures, how to become a real professional. The winners of the festival “CHSPU Student Spring Talent Show – 2019” went on a sightseeing tour in Saint Petersburg
 The winner of the festival “CHSPU Student Spring Talent Show – 2019”, the on-stage performance group of the Faculty of Art and Music Education, was rewarded with a trip to Saint Petersburg for being first in the festival.

I’ve been dreaming of a trip to Saint Petersburg for all my life, and I am very pleased that my first visit to the northern capital turned out to be just like that. We had an eventful programme. For the three days we managed to go on a sightseeing tour around the city, in Tsarskoe Selo, Peterhof, the Hermitage Museum, the Summer Garden, and a night boating. We also had some to see the sights of Saint Petersburg independently. St. Petersburg is an amazing city the value of which is beyond compare. It is absolutely unique, charming and fascinating. It is a city of bascule bridges, canals and fountains, beautiful architecture. |
Olga Terentyeva, the winner of the Grand Prix NCRC International Mountain Biking Competition
 June 15-16, Grand Prix NCRC International Mountain Biking Competition took place in the village of Arkhyz, Karachay-Cherkessia. More than 100 athletes from Russia and neighboring countries took part in it. Olga Terentyeva, student of the Chuvash school of mountain biking, undergraduate student of the Faculty of Physical Culture of I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University, won a gold medal in the Cross-Country Race among women. |
CHSPU Student’s Project Received Grant Support at the All-Russian Competition of Youth Projects
 Igor Gusev, student of the Faculty of Art and Music Education of I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University, became the winner of the All-Russian competition of youth projects among individuals. His project “Professional Equipment for Artists” received a grant of 250,000 roubles. Igor Gusev: “Reflecting on my contribution to art and the history of the University, I realized that I should start small: why not make the creation of works of art more comfortable? This is how the project “Professional equipment for artists” appeared. With the help of it, I could make professional easels for all artists-to-be, students of the faculty of art and music education, on which completely new canvases would be born and which could enhance the aesthetic culture.” |
Students of Yakovlev University are winners of the International Student Distance Olympiad "Pedagogical Digital Science – 2019" of the Moscow State Pedagogical University

CHSPU President Vladimir Ivanov Takes Part in the Final Installment of the TV Program «Student’s Day»
 On June 11, the final installment of the program “Student’s Day” released by the National TV and Radio Company «Chuvash Yen», went on air.The project started in October 2018 and was to include weekly hourly broadcasts on the Chashash Yen TV channel. The installments contained information about the latest news of the local universities, interviews with students, graduates, scholars, information about student associations, creative teams, grant holders, university achievements, interactions with studio guests, etc. At the very beginning, media teams of several higher and vocational educational institutions of the republic joined the project. Only the media team of I.Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University STUDLINE managed to complete the project. |
